Happy New Year's Eve Everyone!
Here's one of my favorite drawings, Leona. I sketched her from my imagination some years ago.
I seem to have a thing for cats, women, and dragons.

(2,787 posts)A fascinating alien in Fritz Leiber's novel "The Wanderer".
Fritz had a thing for cats and women, too. Don't think he ever said anything about dragons to me, though!

(2,067 posts)That's a really good name for her. I also call her Felina.
I love cat women. I posted Panthera a while back - she's since almost finished.
She has a dragon and a raven.

(2,787 posts)Fritz is hard to find in book shops, nowadays. He was a mentor and friend during my brief career as a writer. He was a great guy. We shared many of the same bad habits, despite the considerable difference in age!

(2,067 posts)and can get it in hard copy, or audio to listen to as I do art. I love to read, but mostly spend my awake time doing art. Books are really the best as they seem to unfold as a movie in my mind as I read.
I'm intrigued as there's a cat woman involved, and the summary sounds fabulous! I'm a big sci/fi fantasy geek, and have attended many conventions, starting at Dragoncon in Atlanta in 2000. I sold a piece there for 3k. Blew me away, as I didn't really intend to sell it, and put a high price on her.
I've met Harlan Ellison (what a flirt! - told me I'm 'stunning') lol. He visited our friends up here when he attended Norwescon. That was a long time ago. II know and am friends with lots of artists in that genre.
I'd love to read some of your writings.

(2,787 posts)First met him at St. Louiscon '69, along with Fritz and many others of the New Wave.
I later participated in a Science Fiction writer's workshop run by Harlan, with Fritz as one of the mentors and "bad influences" . Harlan was a force of nature and I admired him hugely.
My own writings were published in a few minor mags under a pen name, as well as hack work as a stable writer for DAW. I ran out of things to say and stopped writing years ago. I saved no copies of my work...it was ephemeral.
Thank you for asking!
