(38,508 posts)I searched for something I wanted to paint. Then I watched a couple of videos of different artists/instructors just to see if I liked them & the way they present & talk. I set the playback speed to 1.5-2 times normal speed & I advance the cursor through the video to quickly see how the project progresses.
Good luck! Can't wait to see your watercolor work.
on edit: Here's one tutorial I did for my first perspective lesson. My building didn't look quite so nice, but it was a good exercise.

(8,450 posts)It's very affordable--discounted to $19.99 right now. I haven't taken this class but I took a drawing class from him and I enjoyed it a lot. It's recorded sessions with limited individual feedback. I like his teaching style: clear, calm, kind, well-organized.

But I don't know if you are interested in portraiture. If you're not, I'm sure Domestika has other affordable watercolor classes.

(63,174 posts)I finally got back into it last year.
there are tons of videos but my advice would be, check out a few videos on color theory along the way.
watercolor is just like any other medium in the way that you still need to understand colors.
once you do, it's just a matter of technique and medium after that.
my two cents.

It contains lots of great information and really helped me get started, and it's not that expensive for a hardbound book. Hope this helps.
