Naruto Manga Countdown Site Teases New Project

The official Naruto website launched a "Naruto Final Countdown" page on Friday that teases the start of a "huge" new project when Masashi Kishimoto's manga ends on November 10. The website includes a timeline of the major events in the series' 15-year history with descriptions and quotes in Japanese and English.

The official website for Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced on Monday that the manga will end in this year's 50th issue. Kishimoto stated in 2012 that the series was rising towards its climax and that he already had the ending in mind. Later that same year, he said that the story would continue for more than one and a half more years.

Kishimoto began serializing the ninja manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, and Shueisha will publish the 71st compiled book volume in Japan on November 4. Viz Media published the 67th volume in North America on Tuesday.
