1. Total Failure.

If he was naïve enough to think the Germans would do anything but demand their pound of flesh, he's a dummy. He failed Greece.

2. The trouble was that Greece was going to be "made an example of" and they know they would be

purposly undermined. So while it would have been difficult to break away and move to their own currency, it would have been almost impossible to do so with bankers manipulating everything to cause their failure.

Hopefully the plan is now to quietly prepare and more gradually break free.
