Trump's Obsession With P.C.
Something needs to be done to turn the tables on Trump and his constant accusations of political correctness. I came of voting age in 1994, so I can remember when the Right started using it against democrats, progressives, liberals and even moderates. The term was one of modest popularity, supposedly on college campuses, but any honest or knowledgeable witness of the political scene during the past twenty five years knows that the term hasn't been used in a favorable manner among most people since 1995. The people that keep rehashing the term are mostly on the Right, and they use it to demean opponents. It is high time that this nonsense received the scrutiny that it deserved. The term that was once one exclaiming on of tolerance and other liberal/progressive virtues was soon turned into an accusation of suppression of free speech and free though. The term is now an all purpose term used by the Right to define anything they don't like, or any situation where they don't get their way. It's absurd, but the Right has at time managed to use this tactic to get opponents on the defensive. A good way to turn the tables on them is to come up with a term we can use against them. People have used terms like "right wing political correctness" and "religious correctness", but these have not caught on. May I suggest Partisan Correctness or Reverse-P.C. These both have a nice ring to them and have a good possibility of exposing this sham for what it is.
