Michael Bolton -- yay or nay?

I never knew I hated him until he started singing in those annoying Honda commercials! I can't hit the mute button fast enough!

I'm much more a Leonard Cohen fan, or even SRV. But no Bolton and no c&w except for Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash. Now for some weird reason I can listen to Piedmont, which is the same technique Bolton uses. It would peel paint from a barn. Maybe it's the older tradition that makes the difference.
