There's at least a thousand varieties of bananas, but most of us only know the Cavendish variety, because that's the one that gets grown for export. It's also in trouble, from some things I read a few years ago.

export are twice as expensive. I love Manilla mangoes and brought back two seeds from US , but they molded when I planted them.
