and remembering my visit to Colleville-sur-Mer and the American cemetery above Omaha Beach.
Although my father, uncles, and father-in-law all served in the Army in WWII, I know no one buried there.
Still, standing on the manicured green grass with those perfectly aligned rows of white crosses and Stars of David in respectful silence was quite emotional for me.
Its about sacrifice for country that our current Commander-in-Chief will never understand.

Any suggestions for ingredients for a new cocktail called a Salty Cat?

(72,537 posts)Shake two ounces of gin, one ounce of crème de banane, half an ounce of simple syrup, and a dash of orange bitters with ice. Then pour into the chilled glass with a salted rim.
