Good morning my DU family,
It's pretty remarkable how different the personalities of cats can be, just like people.
Petunia has always been a lap cat, possessive and fully desiring to be an only cat lol. She has spent all her life being John's daddies girl, her total loyalty never betrayed
Cuddles on the other hand, is like a teddy bear, until he changes his mind lol. He's very very cuddly and expressive, but also needs to roam and hunt and yet he's so patient and gentle with Shadow especially.
Finally, Shadow is very noisy, squeaky is a better description as she's half the size of Cuddles and Petunia, and yet she's so very gentle. She's very delicate in attacking the hand or foot that's playing with her, very intense and focused, but soooo very gentle in her touch. She also makes sure that I know I'm loved with her chatty ways all through the day.
All that just to say this. I'm reminded often how unique individuals are and that I need to listen, observe, and care enough to ensure that I see you, not some imaginary concoction or contrived expectation.
Please give us a day filled with opportunities to see one another with honesty, clarity, and through loving eyes, accepting one another through the lense of greater discovery and understanding.
