man. u might not realize how much damage the fire dept does

when they put out a fire. they punch a hole in your roof to pour water in. they tear out drywall/plaster to make sure there's no hidden fire.
they open all the windows. 1 had the blinds down and they just shredded them. and the water! was told 1000 gallons is typical. they shut off all the utilities.
clean up crew starts tomorrow. the chilly weather is a blessing. not getting mold yet. if this was july the smell wd b awful. not sure if it's worth repairing. will b expensive. i've been thinking it's time to move on, but cant stand the thought of this place being torn down.

I've always enjoyed your little urban farm stories. I just know how heart broken you are.

Wish I could think of something cheery to say.

Can't offer you and yours anything but this and hope that things go smoothly for you in getting things repaired or whatever you and your family decide is best for you to do. 🍀

been there 38 yrs. took it from a plain 2flat to a stunning (if i do say so myself) single family home.
has the greatest kitchen, a beautiful library, lots of tile work, and even a mural made of my ceramic artwork.
the bathroom that burned was gorgeous.
