Stuffed dates.

Whole Majool dates, pitted, stuffed with a dab of cream cheese and a walnut half, rolled in some kind of sugar.

Seriously addictive, heart attack sweets!

Happy Holly-daze!

We kept a couple of 20-somethings (they lived next door. we adopted them)
entertained...We fed them Peanut Butter M&Ms in a huge goblet on the
coffee table..Eowyn (not her real name) would spot them then, as she
passed by
her right hand would swoop down, grabbing a full handful
of the M&Ms. Her arm then continued its arc reaching her mouth in record
time....like a ballet move!

This year I made an old-fashioned cheese ball. Cream cheese, shredded sharp cheddar, crumbled bacon, ranch seasoning rolled in chopped pecans. Looked more like a cheese lump but was delicious.

crackers, accompanied by cheeses like smoked cheddar, provolone, seeded samso, etc. I also dollop wheat thins with tuna or chicken salad. If I'm feeling nostalgic, for my own munchie enjoyment I spread saltines with pimiento cheese, the "fancy" cheese dip of my childhood.
