Go my flu and Covid shots yesterday and did I ever pay for it last night. Woke up with the chills and every muscle in my body was sore. I feel like I'm 150-years old! But it's better than getting the flu, from what I hear.

(179 posts)It's gotta be all of that Aluminum in the vaccine, right? Maybe the woke, transsexual scientists spiked your vaccine with something? Good news, if you live in Texas, you have 3 choices. Pray the evil vaccine away, get some OTC Ivermectin, or get some Hydroxychloroquin. You're good all around!
I bet if you try some raw milk you'll feel a ton better.
Seriously though, sorry you feel bad. Hope it gets better soon.

(39,524 posts)Is this your usual reaction? Do you usually get both at the same time?

(13,690 posts)other than a sore arm for a few days. My husband, who reacts to pretty much everything, had aches, pains, and sniffles with the flu shot. With the latest Covid shot, which I haven't gotten yet, He says his arm hasn't been the same since---and it's been two whole weeks. I'll get mine next week at my PCP's.

(5,006 posts)I get them both as soon they are available, but never together. The flu shot I get is the more potent one they give to seniors. I'm usually in bed watching old movies and snoozing after each shot. I've learned to prepare by doing my chores ahead of time and hydrating.

(8,304 posts)flu, pneumonia and shingles all one day. Slight fever and some soreness, rather tired, felt fine after about 1 1/2 days.

(8,304 posts)It was only slightly worse than the single covid shots I received in the past.

(76,525 posts)In my previous 70+ yrs lifetime, the only vaxes I had were the childhood and school things and the military things - all of which were routine/mundane accepted and unquestioned. In my majority Middle Period decades (post school and military, all Civilian) had nothing, and especially nothing the Flu one because it didn't seem important and heard people say they caught the Flu because of the shot and can't pinpoint whether I ever got the flu. When the covid new-kind-of-scary pandemic thing happened, it came with a new political dimension to it and I took all of the boosters, did the whole thing of loss of some loved ones and learning some new level of mortality and hatred of antagonists.
So have had them all - all the covids, then later the anti-shingles/pneumonia/RSV and rigorously Flu. And never have had reactions, to the point that I wondered whether the pharmacists were actually not doing the placebo thing.
I've got the covid/Flu in October as usual, simultaneously as usual, nothing happens (so far) as usual. (The shingles & pneumonia are forevers.)
*** My only mild, quandary now is that this time with the season changing, have had some sniffles and the occasional annoying sneezing fits. Are those routine, dust, allergies - I only dust and such when things get intolerably irritating, so there's that. So, are the sniffles/sneezing just "normal"?
I've introduced myself to nasal, salt inhaler things, which are helpful.
