Nike’s skateboarding arm are no stranger to wild collaborations that've left us with jaws on the floor – but these Kirkland joints may be their zaniest linkup to date. The Costco x Nike SB Kirkland Signature Dunk Lows originally surfaced in September through leaked imagery that began circling the sneakersphere, and it wasn’t long until they went semi-viral. Honestly, we thought they were fake right up until today with the release of official imagery – confirming that they're legit and will be dropping soon.

If you look past the paradoxically weird linkup between these two brands, there is actually plenty of detail packed into this one skateboard sneaker. The colourway employs the Costco apparel line’s signature muted design, with fleece-like grey marle upper and 'Kirkland' branding on the lateral heel. Underneath the insole in the Zoom Air bag there’s also a graphic of Costco’s iconic hot dog, and the swing tag is a special membership card that reads ‘Executive Skateboarder’. Finally, the inside tongue features the Kirkland price tag, which declares the Nike SB Dunk Low is poised to receive a $135 RRP.

So… what is the story with these? Currently, Nike SB and Costco are keeping tight-lipped about the Dunks despite the sheer volume of leaks and interest. These two brands meeting on a skateboarding sneaker is incredibly ironic, as Nike SB’s special editions are historically extremely limited, whereas the Kirkland store serves the everyday person. An exact release date for Costco and Nike SB’s Kirkland Signature Dunk Lows is yet to be locked in, but we’re expecting pairs to land during the Holiday season.
