I think that flowering plants, especially those with colors in the reds through yellows, do some supernatural things with afternoon sunlight, and especially this time of year. Maybe the leaves are solar panels that collect the afternoon photons and transmit that energy to leds in the flowers. Isn’t a phosphorus atom just like an led? Sometime I’ll have to ask one of my coreopsis or one of the feather celosia.

The secret must be the phosphorus. No?

My parents at one time were running 3 full gardens of flowers: their home, the cottage and my dad's mother's house. They'd come home from work and immediately garden for an hour or two. They loved it. I tried to garden. The only time I was successful was with a window box of petunias and who can fail at that.
