Beautiful paintings, sculptures, music, etc.

That is why I listen to Mark Knopfler every day.

The joy he brings me is endless.

"With fear for our democracy, I dissent." -- Justice Sotomayor, Trump vs. U.S.

"Try again, fail again, fail better." Samuel Beckett

"We are the words. We are the music. We are the thing itself." Virginia Woolf

Art reproductions also displayed: Monet "Impression Sunrise," Matisse ," Window at Colliure," Degas "ballet scene," Twombly "Ah, the Peonies,"" and Leonardo's angel from "Virgin of the Rocks" (Paris version).

This keeps me from utter despair. Throughout history, there have been trying times worse than what we are going through now. I feel I have to be grounded in that truth, without lessening my zeal for a BETTER time!

Art helps settle me down a bit. And quotes that remind me that people have faced terrible times in the past and we must all find some way to hang on and continue to aspire, despite setbacks along the way. It took me a while to adjust to our loss last November. I truly thought we had won and as the election slipped away, we were just in horror. One state after another...and I still have some smouldering anger inside me.

I'm sorry that I haven't said anything sooner, sometimes it's difficult for me to keep up on DU.

Trying to work my way back to drawing on paper again. Some physical painting, too.

I've done a fair amount of digital painting these past 2-ish years. App adapted for Android phone. It can also be used on a tablet I think.
I'd do a heck of a lot better if I had a stylus!

Do my art, crafts. Usually love looking at others works. Got a ton of Pinterest visuals. 😄

Listen to music. Get to parks, and gardens. Enjoy my family, friends, and my city. Enjoy wonderful memories. Most of the times all these take me away from my fears of these past 2 months, and the furure.
