(985 posts)Maureen O'Hara is so lovely, and John Wayne is charming, (except for the spanking scene!) I'm sorry you're feeling down. Everything is just too much these days. We had a bad/good evening here. My husband BBQ'ed and thought he'd put out the fire in our little Weber grill. One of the embers must have caught our grass on fire. We were inside eating, and watching TV. Someone knocked on the front door. My husband thought it was a delivery so we waited for a few moments, and when the knock wasn't repeated, continued to watch TV. The kid who knocked on our front door then went to our next door neighbor's house. Our neighbor and his wife came over and knocked on our sliding glass door. My husband went over and opened the door, saw the fire, and we all worked to get the fire out before anything bad happened. We lost some dry zoysia grass, but nothing else. We were so lucky! I hope my neighbor can help us find out the kid's name, we never even saw him. The young man left before my neighbor got his name. We're getting a restaurant gift card for my neighbor and his wife. We'll also figure something out for our young hero. Things could have gone the other way, but this young man didn't give up till he found someone to help us. Did a lot to restore my faith in people today. Like you I've been feeling pretty low, and also angry and sad. I'll keep you in my thoughts, and I'm sending a big hug Hang in there!
