I lost my Chapstick tube

In between the console and the drivers seat last week.

I had some difficultly removing the tube even with my long skeleton type fingers.

I had to use a wooden yardstick to push the tube forward. I finally got it after awhile.

I purchased a purple pool noodle today and did this.

I dropped some spare change in that slot on my new Ford and thought I'd never get it back. My old Ford didn't have that issue.

If I dropped anything it landed under the seat and there was enough space to grab the item.

There's not any space to grab for lost items in this vehicle though.

All it takes is to shift the lever from D to M or from M to D.

That's it. Easy-peasy.

Perhaps the least surprising part of your OP is revealing that HallowQueen has "long skeleton type fingers."

By the way, I had something to say about your Canadian $5 bill thread today but I didn't know how to word it. So I only rec'd it.

on our money bills.

I was thinking abolitionists like Wendell Phillips, William Lloyd Garrison or Harriet Tubman.

Or perhaps someone like Jean Stratton Porter.

I don't know if it would effect value but maybe rotate people every so often on all bills. Is there a reason why we have to have the same faces on the same bill all the time?

I didn't know how to word it so I didn't say anything.

Makes good sense to me. I hope it becomes reality someday (not likely during the next four years, but when sanity rules again).

Your post got my attention on both counts - the chapstick and the noodle.
11:46 PM
Just recently used a chapstick for the first time in literately multiple scores of years, had to ask a grocery clerk where to find it, surprised to have to choose at the variety of "healthy" ingredients, hassled to de-wrap the plastic, surprised again at the new appearance of the tube, then found that the lips are dried out in the morning.

Then the noodle - have zero idea how they're used in pools, have used a small piece on a protruding pipe in the ground for warning visibility, and a neighbor uses a longer piece sliced lengthwise to cover the sharp prongs on his chainlink fence where he reaches over to dump trash.

Life hacks! Have been thinking of starting a topic on that for a while.

I'm a Chapstick addict for years so I always know where to find the item at the store.

Opening a new tube certainly takes some skill. You could start a life hack on how to open a new tube!

I garbage picked some 3/4" PVC pipes a few years ago. My neighbor cut the pipes for me so they're all the same length.

I place the PVC pipes into the soft ground with a specific vintage hammer and I place the pool noodles (with a slit going down the pool noodle) over the PVC pipes.

I then add Halloween solar lights to my "Do It Yourself Temporary Fence" for my Halloween yard display. I'm going to see if anyone throws out any 3/4" PVC pipes this year so that I can add to my Halloween yard decorations arsenal.

You should absolutely do some "life hack" topics. You might end up helping someone that needs the help.

How much actual lip balm is in those things? They seem to run out a lot faster than they used to.

ALLL THE TIME!

And in my rig I have to go to the back of the seat for the extraction which is hell!
I need a black one tho…

I dropped a joint in someone's car in my younger years as a passenger. Luckily, it didn't fall between the console and the seat.

I’m always dropping things in the Black Hole between the seat and console. Once I had to get a new debit card (and all the PITA things that entails) and guess where my card went.
