Maybe I should, and try to enjoy it at least a little bit, considering things will probably be even worse by next Christmas.

4. My sisters are making a full court press for me to join them. Don't feel likew it.

Could go, they are only 3 hours away....but it's their Holiday with their kids. My kids really don't celebrate it much. I do have gifts for both.

9. Eastern part of the state...

Got a bunch, just like around the Lakes, we were west of all of that. We got a couple blasts of snow but it didn't last long with above freezing temps much of the time, and fucking hurricane force winds, I mean it. It was a constant 30 - 40mph with gusts from 50 - 70+mph. It gets old after a while.

Even when it's otherwise pleasant temps. There's snow in the higher elevations but not a whole lot.

I made it a point to schedule work on the 25th and the 1st. Let those who want the day off have it. I will work right through it like a normal day.
No lights, tree, or presents around here; and my cats can just spend time doing their own thing too. I am not in the least bit interested in a holiday.

6. I'm mostly compartmentalizing my upset, and still disbelief. Getting the most Joy, Beauty, and Fun out of the Holidays..

I can!!! I love lights, garlands, trees, ornaments, sparkle, glitter, and colors!

Especially knowing some kinda Hell is on it's way. Storing it in a treasure box of wonderful memories.

Making new decorations. Will see 2 of NYC's big outdoor trees, etc.
I won't "let the bastards drag me down"...(at this point).

I do understand the other way some people are feeling.

8. Haven't felt in a Christmas mood in years..buried my mom about this time..ok one minute, gone the next.

Plus the goings on with our future doesn’t look too bright n my grandkids are in their 20’s and have their own lives so..I’m cat sitting for my friend’s 2 sweeties and I have one of my own. Perfectly ok.
