Driving everyone nuts talking about my jaw injury/ facial tingling/ pain. I'm officially a pain in the ass. I'm just so scared of the diagnosis, the cost, getting the work finished, symptoms getting worse. The facial sensation is the worst. Want work done and no more with the dentist.
I'm very embarrassed. I'm that person I never dreamed Id be.

Vent as much and as often as you need to.
It's alright.
I think I'm going to since I can't really talk about it .

(13,166 posts)People don't have to read your posts and if it gives you even a modicum of relief to complain, please continue. I've known jaw pain and bite problems and they can be unending and escalating until fixed. I get fillings done without novacaine but that's nothing compared to a bite problem.

(123,385 posts)You've got a continuing problem that you haven't found a solution for (yet), and apparently little or no support IRL. If it helps to write about it you'll get a sympathetic hearing here.

(15,459 posts)Be has his own chronic pain and tells me he nvr complains to me. Not quite true. So no I'm not going to get much acknowledgment from him. The fact this treatment cleaned out my account doesn't help

(637 posts)It’s understandable when you are in pain and feel isolated at home. Hope the New Year brings you better fortune in health and spirits.

(3,711 posts)We all get so caught up in trying to do everything right, to keep our precious image perfect, that we don't allow ourselves any imperfections. I've finally realized now at 65 years of age that mistakes (whether real or perceived) are what make us approachable and human. Learning to ignore feelings of embarrassment and laugh at myself has given me a different perspective and a sense of freedom. I’ve gotten to that golden age where I don’t give a flug what others think.
You have love and support here, please don’t be embarrassed or hard on yourself.
