My nieces boyfriend is a mechanic at the sawmill in Plummer, Idaho. They maintain a large collection of feral cats out there to eat the mice. They have a situation where two eight-week-old longhair kittens dont seem to want to be feral - they hang out around the office building and love on everyone. They dont want these two to get eaten by a coyote, so at work last night my niece showed me pictures of them and asked if I wanted one.
What am I gonna do? Yeah, bring em both.
Hell come to the shop tonight to bring them. I bought some kitten food last night and have it in the car to feed them when they get here. Normally Id be concerned about the noise in the print facility and the effect it would have on their sensitive little ears, but since they were born at a place even louder than a newspaper plant that wont be a problem.
And fortunately Rotten gets along with other cats so integrating them wont be a problem.

(4,378 posts)I mentioned to hubby last night I'd really like to have a black kitten (first time in my adult life I don't have a black cat). He just kind of groaned (LOL)

(20 posts)My partner was walking past the cemetery north of our farm and saw a moving black mass on one of the headstones. When investigated, it turned out to be small black kittens. He came and got me with a box and took them home - 4 weeks old or so - dumped in the cemetery. We kept 2 and found homes for the other three. That was 3 years ago.

(51,510 posts)Her boyfriend didn't pick them up Saturday. He had gone to a charity auction in St. Maries on Saturday. By the time it ended it was too dark to find them in Plummer. He'll get them on Monday when he's at work.
Turns out there are three that look alike (gray tabby longhairs) and someone already wants the third one.
