I used to pass one on a fence on my way to the subway. The blossoms always cheered me up.

I remember there were so many all over when I was a kid and I'd go around the neighborhood admiring them all and moms would always warn me not to eat them I had absolutely no thought of eating them but they said it so much that I started thinking what's the big deal going on about eating them eh and thinking then that maybe they might be good to eat but I never did cause I didn't want to mess up their gardens...

- We have some is our yard too...

Aren’t as invasive. You can, however, eat hibiscus flowers
