or when they call the winner?
I have decided to stop being so afraid and I bought a bottle today of pink champagne from France. Woman in line next to me said good idea she is getting some at her next visit.
This is our first woman president and I am going to celebrate it.
I think we are all gun shy after what happened with Hillary but I feel this time is different, she has gone over and over to all the swing states, she has many republicans voting for her, both moderates and progressives have unified, so I feel the time is right.
So what are you celebrating with??

(4,215 posts)It will be my husband, our cat (the real Lulu), and I in bed with my laptop, because by the time they start calling states we'll be safely tucked in, staring at my laptop for as long as our eyes stay open. (We're in the Eastern time zone.)
We'll have to keep the volume down so the dog doesn't hear that we're having fun without her. She and the cat have an upstairs/downstairs arrangement.
Mimosas in the morning!

(68,357 posts)I might also pick up a bottle of Lambrusco, because a bubbly red is kind of fun, too.

(83,186 posts)I will swim in the lake of tears of Magats.
We'll be subjected to 24/7 messages of "theft".
In the mean time, Kamala will be putting together a Cabinet that is functional and prepared to go from Day One.
The sun will shine, and after a bit, we will start to act like a nation that is not so paralyzed by division.

(9,100 posts)I'll be with two of my best friends. It's been a tradition that I go over to one's house. We have another friend who's husband will be working and he doesn't want (and we don't want) to be alone.
He'll stay with us for most of the day (I always take election day and the next day off) and part of the night (so he can be home when his husband gets home so the husband isn't alone).
I'm still very, very nervous. I'm a recovering alcoholic/addict so no drinking for me....(but I do take Xanax because of my panic attacks and my generalized anxiety disorder). Watching the returns come in kind of freaks me out just thinking about it.
