1. People Come For Miles Around To My House On Halloween

Grandson and I give out good candy.

We have quite the set up. A 15 foot tall, lighted ghost draws them in.
A motion sensor bat dangles over their heads.
A ghoul leans against a tree.
A jumping spider hides in his house where it's written, "Spidey Take a Peek", careful, don't step on the foot pad.
A motion sensor crow sits atop my mailbox, moving his head from side to side and cawing.
Grandson uses an annoying fog machine for atmosphere.
A remote control spider may come at you from under the witch's chair.
Oh, the witch, with her head bowed down, holding a bowl of good candy. When you reach into her bowl her head literally flies back, white eyes glowing, and screeching loudly.

One mother last year told me that she had to come back because her son wanted to prove that he wasn't afraid of the witch.

This year I am waiting on my grandson to assemble the newest addition, Wanda Webworth, a 6 foot tall spider, careful, don't step on the foot pad.

We usually get 400 kids or more, hope it doesn't pour rain like last year.

Disclaimer: for the smallest of brats who show up, I ask permission from the parents before he/she reaches into the witch's bowl, it will make many of them cry.

They used theme printed crepe paper for costumes back then. Here is a ''Vintage Halloween CREPE PAPER BOLT'' and some examples

12. It's way before my time... but I know about the vintage made paper mache Halloween buckets, masks and decor that

they made items with. There's online instructions for paper mache so people are keeping this art going.

The crepe paper I've never heard of. I'm definitely going to check into that!
