Trixie was my beloved rescue kitty of 14 years, who passed away on July 24th. She had enjoyed an exemplary life with me for all those years and her body was just shutting down. Not realizing what was happening, we took her to the neuro-chiro vet, and the acupuncture vet. Nobody could find a single thing wrong with her. Alas, her time had just come to cross the Rainbow Bridge.
Yesterday, I called Chewy to cancel my dog's autoship order (he has allergies and I'm trying to find the "right" food). I told them about Trixie passing over and asked them to please not send me flowers, but if they could redirect those funds to Brother Wolf Animal Shelter in Asheville, I would be most grateful.
Today, I received an unexpectedly pleasant surprise! An email from Chewy detailing a 32" crate, kitty spring toys, and Inaba Tuna & Chicken Variety Pack, Grain Free Lickable Treats. In lieu of the flowers that they would've otherwise sent.
I love Trixie & Chewy!

(59,599 posts)flowers to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville just blew me away.
Chewy really is wonderful! If your pet won't eat the food you ordered, they will credit it, etc.
I agree, it is a nice memorial for Trixie. She herself came from a Siamese Cat rescue in Milwaukee, having been found with a litter of kits in an abandoned car. Poor thing. I spent the rest of her life making sure she was happy.
