I went to Walmart this morning for basic necessities.
For the heck of it, I went through the Halloween section as I have decided to dress as a devil this year. I found a plastic pitchfork for $3.28. The handle of the pitchfork has three separate pieces that rivet together. I only placed two of the rivets together as I felt it was too long with all three handle pieces. Since I already have a red skirt, I also decided that I needed black fishnet stockings.
Before going home, I stopped at the Dollar Tree because I needed another roll of purple decorative mesh for my outdoor Halloween decorations. I also snagged a roll of red decorative mesh for the pitchfork. I also have a plan to use the red decorative mesh as an eye veil with horns, kind of like this image. I wasn't sold on any of the devil horn headbands. I'm hoping that my plan works.
I taped some odd ball shapes of aluminum foil on the pitchfork, added some red decorative mesh around the handle and tied it at the end with a separate piece. I painted the tips black with acrylic paint that I already had. The pitchfork is definitely interesting now. I'm debating lightly spraying the pitchfork with black spray paint.

(17,977 posts)I love seeing costumes, house, and windows & fire escape decorations for apt buildings.
Was thinking last week thst I might draw a haunted house and put on my apt door. 🎃

(9,565 posts)and so that's why I styled it up a bit. Party City has one that has three devil tails for the forks, which gives a unique flare but I couldn't justify spending that much on a plastic prop.
My outdoor solar Halloween lights are suppose to be here tomorrow so I'm hoping that they get here early so I can solar charge the lights and set them up before dark.
I love seeing the decorations as well. You should decorate your apt door. Have fun, electric_blue68!

Which song do you prefer, BTW?

(9,565 posts)I couldn't decide between a fortune teller or a devil costume this year. The deciding factor was I purchased a red Halloween skirt last year, so I'm wearing it this year.
I absolutely love the Rolling Stones! I was going to post Van Halen's Runnin' with the Devil in Deb's most recent identifying songs by the opening riff OP. However, my PC is not liking those threads at all so I've been avoiding them.
To answer your question, it's a toss up between the two songs. I'm not particular great at choosing favorite songs or movies.

(20,243 posts)No need to choose. They're both tremendous songs. And the good news for you as a Stones fan is that I'll be ready for next year if you do decide to be a fortune teller, the background music will be ready to roll:

(9,565 posts)That's spectacular eye makeup. I'm not sure if I have a steady enough hand or the patience for applying that eye makeup.
The nails might be a possibility though!
