Watching a movie on Arizona PBS.

It's called "The Red Violin". The story puts me in the mind of stories like "Sense and Sensibility" and "Pride and Prejudice". But yet it's completely different.
Anyone else watching? Think it's on other PBS channels too.

It’s like the history of some mysterious violin with Samuel L Jackson?

Went with a friend, a fellow professional (classical) musician. She plays violin and viola, I just play viola. When it came to the scene in the middle of the film with the Pagannini type character, where he's playing the violin and screwing his girlfriend, we laughed out loud very loudly (disturbing everyone else in the theater.) Why did we laugh so uproariously? Because, as any string player knows, you wouldn't do such a thing with such a valuable instrument because (God forbid) some body fluid might get on the varnish ...

It was a good story.

spanning centuries and cultures. I saw it was on PBS as one the the two Saturday night movies they show each week on "Hollywood at Home." But I don’t have time to watch it tonight. I made a mental note to rent it soon when I have a chance to settle down with an epic.
