46 years ago, considered my many, including myself, to be one of the Dead's finest moments.

Just superb, especially Phil Lesh's bass line at the beginning of Scarlet.

1. I was there, also.

I was teaching at Ithaca College at the time...insane !!

3. No. I don't. But then at the age of almost 80,

and while there is a lot I remember, there is a lot I don't. There was/is always a lot of snow in Ithaca.

4. Such a beautiful part of the state.

Rulloff's and The Nines in college town.

Sometimes we would drive to Trumansburg and go to the Rongovian Embassy.

It was a cold rain on the way to the show and while standing in line.

When we got out, it was snowing like hell and the drive home was brutal. Several inches of snow.

5. Is the Rongo still going? I only get to Ithaca maybe once or twice a year as I live about an hour

away.

Used to hang out at Johnny's, if it's still there.

6. Unfortunately, the Rongo closed in 2016 due to financial reasons.

7. Looks like Johnny's closed in 1981, but that big sign was there

until 2009.

it's pretty accurate, but there are a few inconsistencies (ie: they didn't play Egypt until 1978).

My wife is a Cornell alumna. She lived a couple of blocks downhill from college town.
