Incredibly enough, we all liked the exact same cat.
And yeah, older animals are better, in my opinion.

(7,419 posts)I have had three older shelter dogs. I call them the Just Add Water Dog. They were all Labradors and all you needed was a body of water on that first day in their new home and voila, a family pet.
Never a poop or pee accident, no chewing of my shoes or other puppy like destruction. You are so right, puppies are hard! God bless the Just Add Water Dog.

I keep thinking of getting a new dog.
Mostly I am saying not a puppy as Im not home enough to do training.
But so far the perfect one hasnt showed up.
In fact last August I kept looking at the shelter dogs and well one night I looked at the cats and
When I saw this kittens face I just knew he had to be for us.
my adult daughters call him little brother.
So eventually the perfect dog for us will show up.

Few miles down the road he climbed into hubbys lab and hasnt left.
My new dog. Became hubbys dog.

He is totally adorable!
I wanted to rescue an older Shepherd or GSX due to my age but a GSX puppy chose me at the shelter. Against my will! Ana is now 2.5 years old.
