Never, ever bring 2 children to a shelter to pick out a kitten.

You will always come home with 2!!!

What a cutie!
I would have chosen him/her too.

to a shelter because we wanted a cat. When I got there I thought, "Uh, oh, what if we all like a different cat?"

Incredibly enough, we all liked the exact same cat.

And yeah, older animals are better, in my opinion.

I have had three older shelter dogs. I call them the Just Add Water Dog. They were all Labradors and all you needed was a body of water on that first day in their new home and voila, a family pet.

Never a poop or pee accident, no chewing of my shoes or other puppy like destruction. You are so right, puppies are hard! God bless the Just Add Water Dog.

I’m in love it’s so cute.
I keep thinking of getting a new dog.
Mostly I am saying not a puppy as I’m not home enough to do training.
But so far the “perfect” one hasn’t showed up.
In fact last August I kept looking at the shelter dogs and well one night I looked at the cats and
When I saw this kittens face I just knew he had to be for us.
my adult daughters call him “little brother.”

So eventually the “perfect dog for us” will show up.

Humans don't adopt dogs, dogs pick their owners. When the dog knows you are perfect, you will have your dog.

I wanted to rescue an older Shepherd or GSX due to my age but a GSX puppy chose me at the shelter. Against my will! Ana is now 2.5 years old.
