and walk the horse.



There's a law in Montana that if a student rides a horse to school, the principal has to feed, water, and walk the horse. Six seniors were aware of this law and rode their horses on the last day of school. Their principal did his duty and took care of their horses.

It’s more than a law, it’s a tradition.
Usually seniors do this and other students for special occasions. The horses are taken care of by more than the principal and often receive gifts, called a gifting.
The last ride for the last day.
