Safety standards in 1965

( I can still remember my mom bracing me in the car’s front seat when she hit the breaks )

It’s a miracle so many of us survived our childhoods lol

2. My aunt did that. Whenever she hit the brakes, her arm would automatically come out

Also it was fun to lay down in the back seat and watch the electrical/telephone wires as they went up and down. Then when they suddenly crossed over the road, it’d about rip your eyeballs out of their sockets. Good times!

No padded dash, no seatbelts, at least one of us babies/kids in the front seat sitting on Mom's lap. Who needs all that safety gear...we all survived.

vacation had a front bar at least! 😄
And the early mid '60s is when we were on them. 😄😛
