'General Hospital' Loses Second Regular Over Vaccine Mandate

General Hospital has parted ways with a second member of its cast over the production’s COVID vaccine mandate.

Steve Burton said in an Instagram video Tuesday that he’s no longer with the ABC daytime soap due to the mandate. The network confirmed he has departed after being unable to comply with the vaccine policy; his last day of work on the show was Oct. 27.

Burton is the second GH cast member to leave the long-running series due to its vaccine mandate in recent weeks. Ingo Rademacher‘s last episode aired Monday after he departed over the mandate (and after he was called out by castmates for sharing an anti-transgender meme on social media).

In his Instagram video, Burton says he applied for medical and religious exemptions to vaccination but was denied. He says not complying the the mandate “is about personal freedom for me; I don’t think anyone should lose their livelihood over this.”

But he's OK with castmates or crew possibly losing their lives if they get COVID from him.

Sorry but Hollywood means business. Especially with actors, who often have close contact with the other cast members.
Steve Burton was on Y & R some years ago and I’m sure they will not have him back, considering what happened with the other actor.

.... Quran, or any Jewish texts that say you should not get vaccinated. His Doctorate of Divinity is from U.C.
Berkley and his undergrad is from Ohio State in electrical engineering and he told me that he had to read all
those books @ U.C.. He said that there are some religious sects that refuse certain things like transfusions
and or advanced medical care but those acts are not based from ANYTHING in the Bible.

"Burton says he applied for medical and religious exemptions to vaccination but was denied." Sorry Mr. Burton
but both science and the Bible do not back you up you either think you are smarter then people like Dr. Fauci
or you just want to be a pain in the ass wing nut who will keep the pandemic growing.

Looking forward to hearing about Mr. Burton getting C-19, refusing medical treatment, and then dying.

The Christian Scientists and Church of the First Born have explicit church doctrine on this. Anyone else who says they have a religious exemption is probably lying.

... my next door neighbor/friend has told me that there is nothing in the Bible (old/new)
about not getting vaccines (medical care) however he said there lots of writings about
using the brain that God gave you, taking care of your fellow man, and taking care of the
sick and suffering.

They can't even donate their own blood to be used during surgery. A woman who is hemorrhaging after childbirth will get a hysterectomy rather than get a transfusion.

They could have written his firing into the script. Hey, on your last day on the job, your character is being fired. Then you are really fired. You should have no trouble getting into character.
