(2,123 posts)It was amazing! I only ate octopus once, but years ago the research about their unique form of intelligence was coming out and I was happy to cross that creature off of the food list.
It was hardly a brave sacrifice. Giving up Chick-fil-a's brownies because of the company's stand on gay marriage--now that was a sacrifice!

I began reading about them a couple of decades ago when people were finding out just how extraordinarily intelligent they are.
And I thought: Why are these critters on any menu?!!
Some people are just heartless.

(12,047 posts)Since they only live for a year or two I would be trying to genetically alter them for a longer lifespan, they are a very alien intelligence that seem very interested in us.
