MAGA Republicans DEFEATED as Spending Bill PASSES - Meidas Touch

MeidasTouch host Ben Meiselas reports on the House of Representatives passing a Continuing Resolution Bill to fund the government by a vote of 335-91, marking an important victory for Democrats, an important victory for our functioning democracy, and an important win for the American people. Could this mark a turning point where Republicans will turn against MAGA elements of the party? - 09/30/2023.

That would signal that there is a core group actually interested in governing. If that proves to be the case, it means there is a path forward. People interested in governing can have stark disagreement but see the need for compromise.

I think more Democrats than they think would be interested in getting the budget under control. That does mean cuts to some programs, but it also means rolling back some ill-advised tax cuts.

And apparently there are a few Republicans who want to move forward which makes a big difference since the majority is so small. And we know that most Democrats see the need for compromise to move forward, we can hope that more Republicans can be convinced over the next 45 days. *sigh*
