(12,394 posts)Was their trademark during W's reign. They built this shit. I can forgive about anything except dropping turds into America's Punchbowl. Now, they're sorry? Spare me, please.

(9,736 posts)Contrition is good for the soul. For every Steve Schmidt or Nicole Wallace there are dozens more who proceed full steam ahead into the abyss. Reagan was a former liberal Democrat who turned hard right, with little objection from conservatives. Some on the left might want to consider being inclusive to those who realize past errors in judgment. Schmidt's scathing criticism of MAGA bears much in the way of credibility, given the extent of his prior associations and current disassociation.

(8,477 posts)He sees trump for exactly what he is. I missed this on Reid Out last night and thank you for posting it. I would not have known the connection between the "six months" and Nazism without seeing this.
Right now the enemy is not Schmidt, Kellyanne, conservatives in general, or anyone else. The enemy at this moment is trump and those who are his associates now.

(23,410 posts)but more and more of those in the public eye are reflecting on how the GOP they were part of and influenced LED to Trump. Lots of mea culpas going around in the anti-Trump crowd, which I appreciate and applaud. If they were simply anti-Trump that would be good but it's the recognition of how the GOP's positions and appeals to white/straight/Christian grievance led to where we are and they know the GOP must be destroyed.
