The range issue certainly One can argue that cruise missiles are less inflammatory than ballistics like ATACAMS since they're easier to intercept. But with Ukraine using point in time SEAD missions armed with HARM missiles to cover their Storm Shadow raids from SAM intercepts, that's mute too. So just do it. Quantities available are an issue, but the Ukrainians how shown they can work around that and I know a place who would be more than happy to build more ATACMS. Ramp up may be tough, but they've done harder things.

Those cartoon noises detracted from everything he had to say, which he repeated endlessly.

The truth is that we don't know what Ukraine is going to do about Crimea, which is going to be a very tough nut to crack. Right now, they're attacking the high command while making the port itself unusable. Instead of invasion and liberation, they might be tryng to draw Russian forces there so they can be cut off from all support while leaving the other defensive lines starved for manpower as well as supplies. They're going to do what they're going to do and they've had to fight Russians for centuries. They know what they're doing more than any DC strategist does, no matter his class standing at West Point.

Still, at least he was able to pronounce Ukrainian place names. If only he hadn't been undermined by cartoon noises.
