Fox News host Laura Ingraham should really do some self-reflection the next time she tries to give women advice on how to live their lives. Rick Strom breaks it down. Give us your thoughts in the comments below!

(363 posts)Keith Olbermann dated her years ago and more than once he stated that she bragged to him about illegally entering an ex-boyfriend's house and when he changed the locks she stuck a garden hose through his mail slot, turned it on and caused $10,000 in damage, and she thought that was funny! And she never disputed what Keith said on the record, probably because he knows the name of the person she harassed. Did Fox News never vet her?

(24,524 posts)where she was "humiliated?" It's a good analysis of the hypocrisy of the GOP, but not a thing to suggest this reporter was humiliated by anybody.

(116,573 posts)I try to use the original title as much as possible because it isn't my job to editorialize or take artistic license in the headline and it also helps other members not to post duplicate videos. I also try to indicate the media source in the thread title so that members can distinguish between bloggers using clickbait titles, comedy, or legitimate mews sources. I also avoid using UPPER CASE words in the thread titles, include summaries and transcripts when available. There is only one other person in this forum that makes that effort.
I know that some people are sensitive to particular words, but if you are that irritated by a thread title it might help to take a break from being online.
Peace.

(24,524 posts)editorializing. The title implies that the subject of the story was directly confronted and publicly shamed for her actions. That's what "to humiliate" means. Just as we expect the Mass Media to correct the falsehoods spewed by Trump, for example, I think we can rely on DU posters to avoid using headlines that are misleading or factually incorrect, whether or not that was the original headline.

I view changing the title of the videos similar to cropping or altering a photograph. It is an infringement on the artistic license of the creators of that content and should be avoided as much as possible.

(24,524 posts)"artistic" about misinformation, and "artistic license" does not protect lies. You are suggesting that we should not object to totally inaccurate propaganda, and I totally reject that suggestion. I believe you should re-examine your principles.

(116,573 posts)to satisfy you. I try to stay with the exact titles and provide more information in the title such as the media source than any other poster in the V&M forum. You are free to post whatever you wish, but don't tell me what I should do.
