1. Didn't I just hear that Trump is beating all other GOP hopefuls in voter polls?

Republican voters, obviously.

2. Sounds like like Republican "leaders" don't want him

Not to mention, he got fewer votes than his Democratic opponent both times he ran and who in leadership would be willing to take a chance on anyone with his criminal baggage?

4. Also, look at what a beating most of the candidates he endorsed took in the midterms..

That doesn't say anything good about his popularity.

I'm not surprised to hear that party leaders have had their fill of him. I've suspected for a while that they were getting tired of being jerked around by him. This could be interesting to watch, if they try to push him aside and he reacts with his usual ranting, lying, and blaming everyone but himself.

5. Not to mention the serious shellacking he took in 2020!

With all his lies and election lawsuits we tend to forget how bad that was - and you're right, then came 2022 when every unqualified candidate that he inexplicably endorsed went down to defeat, too!

And of course he'll kick up a fuss, that's what he does. But we know that he has no actual interest in the job, never has. His initial motivation for running was campaign contributions and then it put him in a position to siphon cash from numerous sources, the RNC, supporters on the Internet, Russian oligarchs, any source he could access. But now - we've heard that he hasn't even assembled a staff so the supposition is that he mistakenly believes that his status as "a candidate" could prevent him from being indicted...

6. Yeah, he was never really interested in the job itself!

That was the least interesting thing about being potus for him. He just liked all the trimmings, like grifting opportunities, hobnobbing with dictators, and the way sitting behind that big desk made him feel super important.

And now, the (presumed) immunity from indictments is all he really cares about, like you said. Too bad, so sad!
