Jordan couldn’t be speaker; too much baggage.

It absolutely boggles the mind that so many people with such completely unacceptable backgrounds get into that party. And then project every hideous thing that they are on Democrats, or, if you want, The Other.

5. Bob Livingston was actually never Speaker

The Republican conference voted for him in their Conference, but then the story’s came out about him cheating on his wife. Instead of becoming Speaker, he resigned, became a lobbyist and made millions.

This party is literally so full of criminals they have to go through multiple people to try to find someone who can stand the scrutiny.

Livingston's sexcapades were apparently so "Eyes Wide Shut" and baroque that even the normally hypocritical GOP couldn't overlook them.

I thought Livingston was a garden variety cheat on your wife Republican, Vitter on the other hand was being led around in a diaper on a leash. A little much for the Jesus loves me Republican crowd.

10. Perhaps you are right - I'd always heard that Livingston's dalliances were way over-the-top

more than the average "affair" that seemingly every GOP politician has. But I'm finding no evidence for that on the web these days.
