(114,615 posts)when half your states are pushing women into slavery and CONGRESS WILL NOT ACT by passing a comprehensive human rights bill that reasserts our right to timely and gender appropriate health care.
You'd think something that so strongly affects half the population in this country would be a little more pressing than some of the other shit they've done in the last 6 months.
In any case, since we lack even enough high ground to say we stand with Iran's women, the best thing we can do is nothing. Our interference has cost them way too much in the past.

(114,615 posts)Once in DC and once in Mass, and it wasn't illegal to do so. It passed both places.
Slave states just ran out the seven year clock attached to it.
So I guess we're still not human beings, eh?
