How To Indict Trump In 2022: Mueller Vet Responds To Bombshell Hearing - The Beat - MSNBC

After the Jan. 6 committee documented Donald Trump's effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election, MSNBC’s Ari Melber interviews Mueller vet Andrew Weissmann about the next steps in the Justice Department’s probe. The duo discusses Weissmann’s recently published New York Times op-ed advising Attorney General Garland to investigate the insurrection as a “‘hub and spoke’ conspiracy” rather than an isolated riot. Aired on 07/12/2022.

for, let's be kind here, at least a full year, in spite of numerous calls from his professor Laurence Tribe to do so...

Is he lazy, incompetent, or scared? If not any of that, he'd better start now... a little late and a million short, but hurry up boy!

And from the evidence - especially from the last two! - I can't see that DOJ would have any choice except to act!

Which is still a work in progress. Wake up, Merrick Garland and DOJ! Throughout the four long years of the Trump presidency, I was always amazed at how Trump never did anything in a correct and legal manner, even when it might have been better for him to do so - he seemed to be a corrupt criminal to his very core. I swear - if Trump had spent just one tenth of the time and effort in a sincere effort to really govern the country, instead of wasting it all on his efforts to rig and overturn the friggin' election, he might just have won fair and square - now I'm no fan of Trump, to be sure, but that just might have happened.

In closing, I would like to leave you all with this little gem of a political proverb that I concocted:

Investigating Trump is like digging down into a cesspool - the deeper you dig, the stinkier it gets!

And it's not like he was particularly sneaky - though his enablers were certainly guilty of that, too - but how many times were we shocked and horrified at TFG's unacceptable and offensive behavior? It's not like those of us who were paying attention didn't view what he was doing - and not doing - in disbelief! And each transgression was worse than the one before - to the point that it was tough to keep track! And now we're learning exactly how deep his illegality goes. Your "proverb" illustrates what we're learning most accurately...
