He still thinks his party is in power and calling the shots.

The Dems can run the commission all by themselves if they wanted to, reaching across to the GOP was a gesture of attempted bipartisanship.

Kevin can run his own GOP version of the commission if he wants to, it will be interesting to compare outcomes between the two.
