FLOPS from Wikipedia:
sniip
On June 18, 2012, IBM's Sequoia supercomputer system, based at the U.S. Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), reached 16 petaFLOPS, setting the world record and claiming first place in the latest TOP500 list.
A petaFLOP is 10^15 FLOPS.
The largest FLOP classification currently listed in the Wikipedia article is yottaFLOPS 10^24 FLOPS
A mittFLOP must be at least 10^27 FLOPS.
6 * 10^27 is a big number... 6,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
Funny, naming a measure of floating point calculation performance after someone who can't even do simple arithmetic.

(19,156 posts)Seriously. About a half hour ago I was thinking, "at lunchtime I'm going to go on DU and ask if anyone has a graphic about Romney's flips and flops on abortion over the years."
Sure enough, I come to DU and here it is!

(1,269 posts)Then there's the tax fraud, the bullying incidents, the changes on every topic that comes up - the endlessly shifting topical awareness that is Mitt.
Really has he stood firm on anything???

(4,113 posts)They will pull out their default alibi and argue that Obama's pro-abortion and favors killing the unborn. And they will be encouraged to do so during at least one sermon before Election Day by our local church pastors. If Obama or any Democratic candidate went all over the place with their position on abortion the way Romney has, they would verbally crucify him/her.
And the Right to Life, basically an RW activist arm of the RCC, will put their flyers on windshields while churchgoers attend mass, listing their endorsed candidates for the upcoming election. It's typically a straight Republican ticket endorsement. Romney may not merit an "endorsement" from RTL, but somehow the organization will put out a carefully-worded statement telling you that you should vote for him. They did something similar with George Voinovich during his first run for Ohio governor.

(7,237 posts)Regardless of your politics. He flat out can't be trusted... so how do you know what you are even voting for if you cast a vote for Mitt?

(26,184 posts)"We support a Human Life Amendment to the Constitution, and we endorse legislation to make it clear that the 14th Amendment's protections apply to unborn children."
Romney was asked, "Do you support that part of the Republican platform?"
"You know, I do support the Republican platform, and I support that being part of the Republican platform, and I'm pro-life," Romney told ABC.
But things changed in September of this year, at a GOP presidential forum in South Carolina. When Princeton Professor Robert George asked Romney specifically about the federal personhood measure, Romney flipped, saying he'd oppose it.
more...including Romney's telling Mike Huckabee he 'absolutely would have signed an amendment to the Massachussets constitution establishing that life begins a conception.'

(36,667 posts)this alone would do it for me. Romney clearly does not support equal reproductive rights for women and that's a deal-breaker for me.

(17,656 posts)Since Mitt won't answer questions that kids have in the Nickelodeon Presidential "debate", and since Mitt won't go on Dave Letterman's program, it really doesn't matter what side of the abortion issue that Mitt says he is on now.
Because, tomorrow, Mitt will take the other side.
