The 'far-left agenda' is exactly what most Americans want Bernie Sanders

Fox News and Trump claim that Kamala Harris is a wild radical. This is not the case

Listen to Donald Trump or turn on Fox News and you will hear the constant refrain: Kamala Harris is more “radical” and more “far left” than Bernie Sanders.

(snip)

It’s always hard, however, to respond to Trump’s lies because, a day later, his lies become even more preposterous. In any case, as we come together to defeat Trump and elect Vice-President Harris, let me remind you of just one simple fact: despite what the corporate media and political establishment may tell you, the so-called “radical” and “far-left” agenda that the progressive movement is fighting for is enormously popular.

Poll after poll shows that our ideas are supported by an overwhelming majority of Americans who have the crazy idea that maybe, just maybe, government should represent the needs of all of us and not just wealthy campaign donors. It’s also important to understand that many of these “radical” ideas are already in place in countries around the world.

In other words, what’s “radical and crazy” is not what we are proposing, but just how far behind the United States is compared with other wealthy nations in terms of protecting working families, the elderly, the children, the sick and the disabled.

They are moderate center-left 'social democrats' in the tradition of FDR, Truman, JFK and LBJ.

Think. Again.

that these days someone who might have been considered a "moderate" is labeled "far left". Those nasty bastards have taken over America in the last 50 years, and I'm tired of it.

Since about 2008-2010 T.V. has been slowly losing viewership ground to the two way mass communication and subsequent democratization of information via the Internet especially among younger generations.

I believe the GOP moved to the right as far as top down, authoritarian based T.V. would enable, or promote especially over the past near half century.

When Australian oligarch Rupert Murdoch started FOX "News" any pretense to promoting the public good was all but dropped as they used decades of T.V. based psychological studies on what base instincts most moved people to act or purchase a product, whether it be fear, lust envy, greed or just hatred. The GOP followed suit and decay set in among "moderate" Republicans.

T.V. literally created the illusion of *rump being a worthy judge of people vying for a business prize during 14 years of "The Apprentice," and then gave him over a billion dollars in free advertising (selling steaks or wine, etc. it didn't make any difference) during the 2016 election knowing full well for decades just what kind of person he was.

As the Internet gained power and influence, the wounded animal mentality of T.V. became afraid of democracy and turned toward outright authoritarianism as an answer.

One irony being the long dead Roy Cohn has a connection to both eras with *rump today and witch hunter McCarthy during the 1950s.
