at every one of Donny Convict’s hate-rallies, during the part devoted to the Airing of Grievances, there’s a lovely moment where Donny turns his attention to the press. he’ll gesture towards the area where reporters are barricaded for their own protection, and he’ll start yammering about the fake news media is the enemy of the people so unfair the things they say about me so unfair.

Donny’s unhinged worshipers — veins popping in anger — will turn to the press, and start screaming at them, shaking their fists and giving them the finger. it’s Orwell’s Two Minutes Hate brought to life. Donny encourages this behavior — fascists gonna fascist, after all — and eggs his cultists on. so it’s totally unsurprising that during a hate-rally on Friday, some fuckface decided that shouting and gesturing wasn’t enough, and jumped the barricades in an effort to physically confront the press.

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Police said Saturday that a man will face misdemeanor charges after he stormed into the press area at Donald Trump’s rally in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, before being surrounded by authorities and eventually subdued with a Taser as the former president spoke at the campaign stop.

The incident Friday came moments after Trump had criticized major media outlets for what he said was unfavorable coverage and had dismissed CNN as fawning for its interview Thursday with his Democratic rival Kamala Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz.

It was not immediately clear what motivated the man or whether he was a Trump supporter or critic.
