President Pence’s problems: Indiana Democrats say VP was “the worst governor we ever had”

Democrats who worked with the VP shudder at the thought of him being in the Oval Office

MATTHEW ROZSA

It’s impossible to predict whether President Donald Trump will be impeached, but as of last month 40 percent of voters wanted an impeachment to happen. This statistic raises an important question: Were Trump to leave office, would Vice President Mike Pence be better or worse than The Donald?

According to Indiana state legislators who worked with Pence, it would probably be worse.

“I think that in my lifetime, he’s probably the worst governor we ever had,” Indiana State Senator Karen Tallian, a Democrat, told Salon. “I think Mike Pence made a mess of everything. He would throw out these sort of bombshell ideas and then leave them for his staff people to implement. And his staff people normally made a mess.”

Tallian added, “He did not have, in my opinion, really good staff. Now later, toward the end of his term, he brought on a few good people, but during the beginning of his term he was left with Mitch Daniels’ second string.”

create unity among Republicans not only voters who think with their religion and bigotry first but those who want to continue Trump's policies on the environment and stripping bank regulations. Pence will not be like Trump on the media, he doesn't have that kind of personality. I fear the press will be so relieved Trump is gone, they'll give much less scrutiny to Pence and his christian fundamental bigotry agenda. It is a different kind of dangerous than Bannon's but it is very dangerous just the same, he is also a war monger, his past votes are there for anyone to read.

That one party would say the member of the opposite party was the worst they ever had. Indiana hated Mike Pence so much they voted in another Republican Governor.

What this tells me is what the fuck are we doing so bad in the Midwest that we need to change if we want to win elections!

It's telling that Pence's tenure as governor was so awful that he couldn't get re-elected even a very red state; and as awful as he was in Indiana, he would make an even worse president.
