Democrats' Project 2029 Takes Shape With Online Safety and Junk Fees

A group of Democrats is building a plan of action should the party retake the White House in 2028, preparing a list of immediately actionable policies to reform the country on day one of a post-Trump administration.

In its intentions, Project 2029 wants to do something similar to the much-discussed Project 2025 compiled by the Heritage Foundation, a coalition of more than 100 conservative organizations, ahead of the 2024 presidential election ultimately won by Donald Trump.

But its proposed policies are wildly different from those pushed forward by Project 2025, which mainly advocated for a “unitary executive” placing independent federal agencies under presidential control, for the traditional family, and for the slashing of renewable energy funding, among other policy proposals.

“We chose our name not by accident—but as a wake-up call,” the group behind Project 2029, which has picked the minds of policy experts, CEOs, entrepreneurs, community organizers, and elected officials for the agenda it plans to push forward, said in a statement.

5. There is so much wrong that's happening or has happened

Disregarding the title question: These issues seem smaller than the really giant issues that Trump-MAGA has exposed

We are a big party with big ideas: But we need to deal with issues like corruption and blatant theft of the people's tax revenues for corrupt purposes

We also see this mobster president using OUR DoJ as his personal hitmen ... The DoJ will need to be cleansed of Putinist Trumpist MAGA plants... The whole government will need a cleansing of that criminal element

8. I can appreciate this IF it were actually a way to put forward what they have in mind, AND

it's what the people want. BUT if they don't listen to the people and put out ways they're going to cut this inflation, greed and corruption, it's gonna go nowhere... it'll hurt worse than it could help.

I was actually FOR a Project whatever for Democrats... it could work. But they seem SO against listening to what ordinary people are crying for... we have some excellent Democrats. Put them front and center... not another piece of paper that'll go by the winds. Jeez... But I'm just a poor elder of 70. I've lived my life; picked up a few things living it. What do I know? (sigh)
