my parents were Holocaust survivors..
they loved America but they were convinced there would be another Hitler and prepared for it...my father had a clothing store and every spare dollar went into buying gold coins and diamonds...before we moved into our new house , my father paid the guy who poured the slab to drill small craters into the cement in what would be our bedrooms..after we moved in and the carpet was laid, my father cut out the pieces of carpet that covered the holes and filled them with coins, jewels, and money...he then covered the holes and dragged our beds over the carpet...I asked him why he did that and he explained that when, not if, someone like Hitler took control of America, the stash would be used to bribe the soldiers, allowing us to make our escape...
to us Dick Cheney was the epitome of evil but that was then and this is now..he's been Trumped...
