Hacker Is Said to Have Gained Access to File With Damaging Testimony About Gaetz

Source: New York Times

Nov. 19, 2024 Updated 10:39 a.m. ET

An unidentified hacker has gained access to a computer file shared in a secure link among lawyers whose clients have given damaging testimony related to Matt Gaetz, the former Florida congressman who is President-elect Donald J. Trump’s choice to be attorney general, a person with knowledge of the activity said.

The file of 24 exhibits is said to include sworn testimony by a woman who said that she had sex with Mr. Gaetz in 2017 when she was 17, as well as corroborating testimony by a second woman who said that she witnessed the encounter.

The files were downloaded by a person using the name Altam Beezley at 1:23 p.m. on Monday, according to the person, who was not authorized to speak publicly. A lawyer connected to the case sent an email to the address associated with Altam Beezley, only to be informed in an automated reply that the recipient does not exist. The material does not appear to have been made public by the hacker.

The documents include information that is under seal with the Justice Department, which investigated Mr. Gaetz but did not file charges, and the House Committee on Ethics, which has completed its own inquiry into the former congressman. The Ethics panel’s members are scheduled to meet on Wednesday to decide on whether to vote to release material it has gathered.

Your comment reminded me of the documentary “Roll Red Roll” where the Anonymous hacking groups involvement in the cover up by adults of some high school football players rape of a minor at a party (who was intoxicated to the point of unconsciousness) got the media involved and it became a nationwide story.

I wish same group would hack the Gaetz files and publish as they did in Roll Red Roll.

The Russians know nothing else is necessary to get compliance, just the knowledge that there are receipts out there is enough to keep Trump and his ilk in line. The big question is, how much will Musk pay to keep his receipts locked up in the vault?

There are still thousands of independent sites that will publish info like this. It doesnt have to start with corporate media.

Maybe they will eventually publish it after everyone from the guardian to al jejera to mother jones does, or maybe they will just put out disinformation to blur the truth.

But the real files can get out. Just send them.

I was coming out of a store and some guy was humping a hooker against a railing. She had a long coat wrapped around the two of them so you couldnt see any bits, but you knew what was happening.

The early 70's was a wild time in nyc.

Replying to the OP text, forgive me for not reading the whole story.

Now they have deniability if the information is shared, same as what happened with the Muller report. This will all get swept under the rug as not credible or worse the information is not as damning.

Not to say we shouldn't see it, this is what the GOP does when they know their guy can't be confirmed by normal means.

1. The 17-year-old girl lived in A state with the age of consent is 18.

2. She and Gaetz had sex in a state where the age of consent is 17 or less

3. DOJ could not prove that Gaetz transported her across state lines to have sex. Transporting across state lines is the only way DOJ could be involved.

This is why Gaetz always says he did not have sex with a minor….. Instead of he did not have sex with that 17 year old girl
