You may have blocked someone on X but now they can see your public posts anyway
Source: AP
Elon Musks X has been modified so that accounts youve blocked on the social media platform can still see your public posts.
X updated its Help Center page over the weekend to explain how blocking now works on the site. While you can still block accounts, those accounts will now be able to see your posts unless you have made your account private. They wont, however, be able to reply to them or repost them. Blocked accounts also wont be able to follow you and you wont be able to follow them, as has been the case before the policy change.
In addition, if the owner of an account you blocked visits your profile on X, they will be able to learn that you have blocked them.
X indicated that the change was aimed at protecting users who have been blocked.

(10,274 posts)Easy solution to all of this -- quit Twitter.
I refuse to call it that stupid name he gave it.
I quit and dumped the app. I miss friends I made there. I miss actual news sources that I counted on, for local fire information. But life is a lot better not spending any time in that cesspool.

(25,483 posts)The main benefactor of the rules change is eloon. Hes the first person I blocked as soon as he took over.
My next move was to make my account private. I rarely post anything anymore. I do read the Ukrainian war news there but that's about it.
I see more tweets here than I've read there in months.
He's a creep. I couldn't care less about him and his machinations.
Thanks for your reply, Dem2theMax.
