Trump says it's 'tough' for Republicans to win the popular vote

Former President Trump argued that Republicans winning the popular vote is tough because of Democratic strength in certain strongholds ahead of Election Day on Tuesday.
Trump said at a rally in Virginia that votes need to turn out on Tuesday because he wants to win everything, including the popular vote. But he said states like California make winning the popular vote tough.
When you have New York, Illinois and California, you have automatically, its like ridiculous, automatically goes to a Democrat, its tough to win the popular vote because theyre three big states, he said.
While Trump won the presidency in 2016, he was unsuccessful in winning the popular vote that year against Hillary Clinton or in 2020 against President Biden. Democrats have won the popular vote in the past five of six presidential elections going back to 2000, though Republicans have won in the Electoral College three of those times.

Pfft. Cantaloupe Caligula the Corpulent doesnt have any policies, unless you count trying to stay out of jail and doing what he can to grift off of the presidency. Anything else has been spoon fed to him by SS Obergrupenführer Stephen Miller (Q-Nazi Fuck) and Moscow Mitch McConnell (Q-For Power and Putin!).

The klan and neonazi ideas have not really been popular vote winners for a long time.

(22,971 posts)You know your campaign team are taking you for your money, don't you, Donald? They know you can't win and they are charging you millions of dollars for their fraud. Right off the bat you should refuse to pay them. Use that money to pay more lawyers. It's your only hope.

he chose the 'harder' path to victory, and won by getting more electoral college votes.
Any stupid lie he feels like belching out of his pie-hole is good enough, as far as he's concerned.
"It would have been much easier for me to win the so-called popular vote than the Electoral College in that I would only campaign in 3 or 4- states instead of the 15 states that I visited. I would have won even more easily and convincingly (but smaller states are forgotten)! he added."

(12,900 posts)That was the same logic he used in 2020 to claim he'd won, even before the votes had been counted.
His ego can't handle being a loser, so he lies to change the facts to match his fantasy. Poor, little pathetic man/boy.

(290 posts)the Republicans haven't won the presidential election since Reagan, who, with a major dose of treason with Iran mixed in, 'won'. Of course, corporate media plays a major role in dressing up the Republicans and making them seem reasonable and not batshit crazy like they really are. I have former friends who tripped over a Q and fell into the rabbit hole. They became angry and hostile posting white nationalist crap on their FB pages. Being Catholics, they we three quarters there, apparently. And, the Convicted Felon allowed them to be them to be their racist, anti-anybody but them, types that they hid very well for years. Kinda glad, in a way. Better we should know that our 'former friends' are fascists and to avoid them.

Since 2020 Chump has lost so many supporters that he has literally no chance of winning now. At least half of his own Party refuses to vote for him and he's not picking up many independents this year. All his "stupid pet tricks" have amounted to nothing.
